Regular meetings include:
- Beginner's Course at the MGA :
Walther Chen is teaching a beginner's class. Whether you barely know the rules or have played just a few games on a small board,
this course can provide you with a springboard into the depth and complexity of the game of Go.

Time and Place:
7:00pm to 8:00pm every Tuesday at the club during following dates:
Spring 2010: April 6 - May 25, Summer 2010: June 29 - Aug 17, Fall 2010: Sept 21 - Nov 9
Course Description:
The first 15 minutes of class will consist of a short lecture. Over eight weeks, I will cover a basic outline of the rules, life and death, and strategies for capturing stones.
The final 45 minutes of class will consist of games with teachers and review. This is the most valuable part of the beginner's go class, because it allows fast and accurate feedback on a student's tactics and strategy. Students can improve quickly, and hopefully by the end of 8 weeks gain a deeper understanding of Go.
Cost:
$20 for the course.
